Over spring break, while students were enjoying their well-deserved break, the athletes of SHS were still working hard to reach their goals.

During the school break, the majority of our sports teams had practices or goals that needed to be achieved. The girls soccer team was allowed to travel and enjoy their break, but there was a certain mileage that needed to be completed. The girls were instructed to complete and record eight miles over the break. If a girl did not complete this, 100 stadiums would have been a punishment. (100 stadiums= sprinting up the home side bleachers 100 times at Tiger Stadium). Luckily, every girl on the team completed her eight miles. The boys soccer team had no scheduled practice by their coach, but a team captain (Ross Stanford) led the team in a few practices.
