The Springville Cross Country team travelled to Fairview on September 15 to run their third meet of the season. The Tigers going in had a massive amount of confidence that they would run the race of their lives. They were seated to come in 3rd place behind Scottsborro and White Plains; however, when the results were in the Tigers finished in second behind Cullman. The Tigers had five runners in the top twenty with Hudson Kerch in twentieth, Caleb Kimmins in fourteenth, Peyton Young in eleventh, Chris Smith in tenth, and Graham Bianchi in fourth.

With this second-place finish, the Tigers gain even

more confidence and now that they know they have the ability to either win first or runner-up in state. The team has already improved a lot from last year and it’s only their third race.

The Cross Country team’s next meet is on September 29 at Oak Mountain, so please come and support your Springville Tiger Cross Country Team!
