Every Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:30, a group of teenage Christians gather at 1027 Weems Rd. for fun, community, and worship. I was new to City Group this week and was welcomed right away.  At first we just hung out. We took loads of silly pictures, hula-hooped, played basketball, and I even joined a game of Giant Uno! Each card was as big as my face! After a round of Corn Hole (where I found I am terrible at Corn Hole) we all went into the garage and sang together. There was no shame in singing loudly. From there we went inside to watch a video about identity in Christ and then split into girls and guys groups to discuss. I don’t know how it went for the boys, but the girls were so real and kind. They listened and were always glad to be the voice of God’s truth. I know it technically ends at 7:30, but I didn’t leave until 8:30 because I loved the new people God had just introduced into my life. I am so glad I went to City Group and I will make every effort to make it each week. Maybe I’ll see you there!
